Announce
The 1st Annual West Indie Music Festival

The 1st Annual West Indie Music Festival Featuring music from the various
Caribbean islands and artists such as British Dependency, Omalie, Nyne, Drak, Masud
Sadiki, Jazzique, Donahue Jarrett, Mecca, Hodgie & Bankie Banx is scheduled, rain or
shine for Saturday November 27th starting at 5PM at the Dune Preserve. Admission is
$5US.

The festival’s promoters, in association with Blu Symphony Entertainment are
billing the musical event as a Thanksgiving Benefit Concert for Childhelp and the children
of Haiti. They hope that visitors to the island, as well as every Anguillian will become a
part of this very important event.

Anguilla Music Production & Publishing and its record label, West Indie Record’s
primary goal is to identify musical artists from Anguilla and its neighboring islands, and
support them by promoting concerts and festivals, while guiding them toward making
appropriate professional and creative choices that will move each toward building a viable
career in a profession they love; music. The 1st Annual West Indie Music Festival has
been created to support that mission.

The festival is being staged and taped for television (in HD) during the weekend of
greatest abundance: Thanksgiving. 93.3 Rainbow FM has agreed to simulcast and stream
the entire event live. Anguilla HDTV will be taping the entire 5 hour-long-festival for
streaming and other media outlets.

Through their music the artists of the West Indies want to bring awareness to the
ever-increasing number of unfortunate children who do not have cause to celebrate the
abundance of a Thanksgiving feast. With that in mind, the 1st Annual West Indie Music
Festival has teamed-up with Childhelp.

For over fifty-one years, Childhelp has been rescuing abused and neglected
children. We thank everyone participating in the West Indie Music Festival for coming
together to celebrate the many ways music can change the world. Monies raised for
Childhelp will not only meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the
children, these gifts will help their spirits soar. Your love and kindness will move each
child closer to finding the voice of his past and the song in her heart.
West Indie Records and its festival organizers ask everyone within range to join
them and the very special roster of musicians from around the region in helping the
children and celebrating our music.
