Anguilla Development Board Volleyball tournament

The weekend was ripe with volleyball fragrances, as they swirled in the air at the Ronald Webster Park Volleyball court over the weekend. In the first game Teachers were off to a sluggish start in their game against team Statistics. Lewis Hodge and his team mates capitalized on all the errors made by teachers. Teachers became so pensive and tense they self imploded giving Statistics the first set.
Aware of their desperate position, Teachers under the leadership of Khalidah Banks rose to the challenge and played vintage volleyball. Perry Richardson began hitting the ball with great venom, while other team members made sterling contributions. This propelled the team to win the sets, making the game even. The third set was do or die, as both teams had no more for errors. As the pressure mounted, Statistics began arguing amongst themselves, which lead to their demise. Teachers won the game two sets to one. The second game was a treat in the making.
ANGLEC tried shocking the Sports department into submission but there was a lot of resistance. ANGLEC was full of life as Justus “Bumsee” Connor and Collin”Culture” Johnson rallied their team but during the first set it was futile. The team known as Sports worked like a well oiled machine as Ian “Tucker” Connor and Lorenzo Gadget “Harrigan blocked and slammed at will. As time would have it ANGLEC’s power was too much for Sports, consequently they lost the set. With everything now evenly poised, ANGLEC seemed intent on taking the third and decisive set.
Justus “Bumsee” Connor and Jeloni Lawrence were peppering the Sports Department with powerful slams. But through it all Ian Connor remained calm as he collected any and everything in his path. Just when it seemed ANGLEC would walk away with the match, the heavens poured out its blessings on the game, resulting in its postponement.
On Saturday, MICUH, without the services of Andre Samuel, made light work of the lawmen. However, it was evident the long arm of the law came to win. They served well, they bumped well but the more experienced MICUH was too much for them. MICUH won with a score line of 2 sets: 0 sets. In the second game, of the night, Construction tried to demolish Sunset homes.
After successive victories Sunset Homes were playing on cloud nine and ready for Construction. In the first set, Sherwin “Skywalker” Richardson was of the view he could slam at will. While he did, he was astonished by Sunset Homes and their ability to retrieve it. Tyrone “Sunkous” the main setter for Construction tried everything he knew to help his team win, but it proved a tougher fight than usual. Despite the futile efforts of Sunset Homes, the inevitable occurred as Construction defeated Sunset Homes, with a score line of 2:0.

teachers put up a good fight but they lost. it was a very close match.Teachers is my team, im so sad we did lost, but i look forward to our next match. i now i could have done better but i was off the court for a good while so right now i just got to build back up my aggressiveness.

winston and Mr.Linton took charge with there setting while perry spike them into victory.

As for the police they did stand a chance with anglec with smart players like boomsie and Mr.Johnson.
